I'm not racist, homophobic etc. I make fun of everyone and to exclude any group would be wrong ?
Seriously, if a person has made a decision to live a certain way then why worry about what others say or think. It's you and the man upstairs that counts.

Proverbs 16:4 (AS) states: “Jehovah hath made everything for its own end; yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.” Does this mean that Jehovah makes men wicked, perhaps to fit some supposed predestination of his?—D. U., United States.
Jehovah does not create men wicked to fit in with the doctrine of predestination, for that doctrine is a false teaching. (See the May 15 and June 1, 1953, issues of The Watchtower.) And not for a day of evil nor for any other reason did Jehovah make the wicked. To argue so would be to contradict Deuteronomy 32:4, 5 (NW) and Ecclesiastes 7:29 (Le), which texts read: “The Rock, perfect is his activity, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness, with whom there is no injustice; righteous and upright is he. They have acted ruinously on their own part; they are not his children, the defect is their own. A generation crooked and twisted!” “Lo, this only did I find, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought for many (sinful) devices.”
The same Hebrew word here in Proverbs 16:4 translated “made” is translated “ordaineth” at Psalm 7:13: “He ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.” They are appointed for use against enemies. In the same way, the wicked are ordained or appointed for destruction in the day of evil, a day that will be evil to them because it will mark the end of their existence. As a class the wicked are made to exist or remain till then, Jehovah knowing how to reserve them or make them remain till that time of his vindication: “Jehovah knows how to deliver people of godly devotion out of trial, but to reserve unrighteous people for the day of judgment to be cut off.” (2 Pet. 2:9, NW) It is this thought that is given by the Septuagint translation of Proverbs 16:4: “All the works of the Lord are done with righteousness; and the ungodly man is kept for the evil day.” The evil day is for the wicked, and the wicked are for the evil day.

Jehovah has made “even the wicked one for the evil day.” (Proverbs 16:4b) He did not create the wicked, for “perfect is his activity.” (Deuteronomy 32:4) However, he has allowed them to come into existence and continue living until he sees fit to execute his adverse judgment. For example, Jehovah said to Pharaoh of Egypt: “For this cause I have kept you in existence, for the sake of showing you my power and in order to have my name declared in all the earth.” (Exodus 9:16) The Ten Plagues and the destruction of Pharaoh and his forces in the Red Sea were indeed memorable demonstrations of God’s matchless power.

I take this to mean that the “other sexual practices” between individuals that are married to each other is ok?
thought i'd start a new topic on my experience.................... just got back from the above assembly.......... here is my take on my first and last assembly.

but what would happen if you actually sent a letter and addressed it to a ficticious entity like the fds?
If you do write one, perhaps include that because of rising fuel costs and running expenses of a Kingdom hall we should do away with the remaining mid week meeting in favor of a family movie night - Sundays are enough (although perhaps cut the WT to 1/2 hour).

back in my early 20's, i had a pair of comfy old jeans that started to tear in about 3 places on the leg.
it was the fashion at the time so not only did they feel great to wear, they also looked 'in', not that i cared for that, but it was a bonus .
Patent leather shoes on the min(fashion quite a few years ago).

i was raised a jw as yound child and so have known nothing else(bar a few christmas and birthdays), what i read makes sense but doesn't make sense at the same time.
i find it easy to dismiss what i read here but inside know it's not being true to myself.
I feel CMSUK is in conflict and is spinning around instead of moving forward.
This is the case, sometimes I even refuse to listen to myself - I have been cathecting this teaching for a long time, if I am honest though I have been in doubt for years - even packed it in for a while(the constant upset of my family was prob why I returned). The family thing is a big issue for me, it would take more than a miracle to make them see.
I am not going to rush into anything - the comments / support from this forum really helps. Right now I have nobody else to talk to about this.

Does anybody know what I mean? I find it easy to dismiss what I read here but inside know it's not being true to myself. Sometimes I think "screw it", live in ignorance, what does it matter anyway - in the big scheme of things who the hell am I. Other times I feel like I want to know the truth - I do have the Matt 5:3 need.
Is it easier for people like me to carry on ignorant? Probably. But is it the right thing to do - no, but it's not easy
